Program Summary 

Purdue’s retail management major prepares you for leadership careers in the fast-paced worlds of retail, e-commerce and consumer experience. Housed within the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the program builds skills in buying, merchandising, marketing, product management and customer relations. Students gain real-world experience through a required internship or field placement and can study abroad or attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. This degree opens doors to opportunities in retail operations, supply chain management, marketing, human resources and more.

You should pursue the most rigorous high school curriculum available to you. Succeeding in challenging courses will allow you to be a stronger candidate for Purdue’s competitive admission process and better prepare you for college success.
