Program Summary 

Purdue’s hospitality and tourism management major is a globally recognized leader in hospitality education, preparing students to create transformational experiences and drive innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic industry. Combining a business-focused curriculum with a hospitality lens and a focus on operational excellence, the program builds expertise in marketing, human resources, finance, real estate, analytics and facilities management — all essential for success in this diverse field. 

With a strong emphasis on experiential learning and an innovative mindset, students gain hands-on experience in managing world-class hotels, planning large-scale events and creating exceptional guest experiences. Whether pursuing careers in hospitality, tourism, event management or another business area, Purdue’s hospitality and tourism management major equips you with the skills and industry insights to thrive in an ever-evolving global marketplace. More than 94% of graduates secure employment within six months of graduation.
