Aubrey DeVries
Aubrey DeVries’s internship at the Defense Civilian Training Corps (DCTC) offered an invaluable opportunity to uniquely blend academic achievement and real-world defense experience. As a finance major from Fishers, Indiana, she appreciated the full-tuition scholarship and job security that the program provided while still in college. What truly energized her was the way DCTC built resilience and a “warrior ethos” beyond traditional classroom learning — an advantage she says will distinguish her and her cohort in competitive job markets. Aubrey also relished the hands-on exposure in immersive DoD summer internships that reinforced her confidence in joining the Department of Defense workforce. Overall, she found the blend of financial stability, leadership development and deep defense‑sector immersion both fulfilling and career‑shaping.
