As a Purdue construction management student, Elijah Reid gained hands-on experience through internships, industry partnerships and real-world projects that prepared him for a career in commercial construction. Today, he helps lead major building projects as a project engineer with Pepper Construction. Elijah’s story shows how Purdue Polytechnic students graduate ready to make an immediate impact — managing complex projects, working alongside industry leaders and helping shape the communities where they live and work.
Cassidy Marshall started a job as an assistant project manager at Meyer Najem, an Indianapolis-adjacent construction company, just days after graduating with her bachelor’s degree. The job offer came after Cassidy’s internship through the construction management program. She initially studied visual communication with the hope of finding a career path in art along the way, but decided she wanted something different and changed her major to construction management. “It sounded like something that involved problem-solving and working with people, something I would enjoy.”
