Get Involved in Test Preparation
Review the SAT/ACT test dates and seek out free resources like Khan Academy’s Official Digital SAT Prep. Use practice tests and schedule study sessions to ensure your student is ready. If able, your student should take the SAT or ACT in the spring of their junior year at the latest in preparation for the Nov. 1 Early Action deadline that encompasses scholarship consideration.

Support your student by helping them create a study schedule and checking in regularly to keep them on track. Preparing for college begins with taking the most rigorous high school courses available to a student, and some families may also explore other options, such as classes at a local community college or university.
