Purdue's size and variety of performance venues allow Purdue Convocations to book top attractions for the university and our local community. For more than 40 years, the Student Concert Committee has helped recruit shows and entertainment for their peers. Check out the current/upcoming season to find tickets for one of our great shows!
If vocal performance is your thing, check out Purdue Musical Organizations (PMO)! Home to six ensemble groups, from jazz to pop, you're sure to find your fit at PMO! Enjoy the camaraderie, travel, the spotlight and possibly a PMO scholarship. With many performances to enjoy throughout the year, for music lovers of all ages.
Purdue Bands & Orchestras is the home for instrumental music at Purdue University. Over 1,300 students participate in more than 30 different ensembles, including the "All-American" Marching Band, pep band, symphony orchestra and more. Scholarships are available to both incoming and current students through Bands & Orchestras to support participation. Catch these amazing ensembles cheering on our Boilermakers and at special performances throughout the year!
An academic department in the College of Liberal Arts, Purdue Theatre hosts four plays a year, which offer performance and backstage opportunities for theatre majors and non-majors, with scholarships available to students pursuing degrees in the Theatre Department. Purdue Galleries offer a variety of art forms and exhibits throughout the year, featuring artwork from regional, national and international artists as well as the galleries' permanent collection. These exhibits rotate several times over the course of the year. Purdue Galleries currently encompasses the Robert L. Ringel Gallery in Stewart Center, the Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries in Pao Hall and the Degas Collection in the Purdue Memorial Union.
Students at Purdue in Indianapolis enjoy endless opportunities for entertainment and enrichment in the city's vibrant downtown, with professional sports, concerts and a wide variety of stores and restaurants a short walk or rideshare away. For our students in West Lafayette, hop on Purdue's free roundtrip shuttle service to spend some time exploring our capital city.
