Activate Your Career Account
Activate Your Career Account and Purdue Email
Student Career Account
Log in to your Purdue application portal. Click the “Set Up Your Student Career Account” button found on the portal dashboard and follow the prompts to set up your password.
If you encounter problems activating your Purdue career account, self-help and support are available through the Purdue IT Service Desk at 765-494-4000. The service desk is available 24/7.
Purdue Email
During the account activation process, you’ll also set up your @purdue.edu email account. We’ll be sending important information to this address, so get in the habit of checking this inbox regularly.
When you log in to your email for the first time, you’ll be prompted to set up Microsoft’s Multi-factor Authentication, a tool Purdue uses to protect users by requiring a second form of authentication when signing into Office 365 applications. Options for authentication include using text messages, an audio phone call or the Microsoft Authenticator App. When you set up the authentication method, be sure to sign up with a device you plan to use on campus. If you need to change your device or want to learn more, review the FAQs.
Additionally, it is critical that you do not forward your @purdue.edu email to another email account; forwarding emails may prevent important course registration and academic advising messages from reaching you due to email and spam filters.
myPurdue Student Portal
You must activate your career account to access your myPurdue student portal, through which you conduct all your business with the university from now on, including accepting your offer, viewing your financial aid notification, course registration and more. So, bookmark it, log in and get familiar with it!
Two-factor Authentication
You will need to use your career account username and password to set up two-factor authentication through the Duo mobile app, which enhances the security of protected computer systems and personal data. Be sure to set this up on the device you plan to use at Purdue.
