Financial Aid & Scholarship Deadlines

Oct. 1 

• The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available.
• Submit the FAFSA. Include Purdue’s Federal School Code 001825 so the university can access your information. 

Nov. 1 

• First-year applicants must submit a complete admission application to be considered for merit scholarships.

Dec. 15 

• Purdue Scholarship priority application deadline 

Purdue is currently enhancing the scholarship application experience for both incoming and current students, and additional information about applying for scholarships will be available in October.

While those updates are being finalized, students are encouraged to complete and submit the FAFSA when it opens on Oct. 1. The FAFSA is an important step in determining eligibility for many types of financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

• Financial aid notifications begin in mid-March to admitted students who have submitted a FAFSA.
• If you’ll be starting in the spring or summer term, submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after being admitted. 

April 15 

• Priority filing date to submit a FAFSA  

The FAFSA is used to determine aid eligibility for the upcoming academic year. Students should release FAFSA information to Purdue using Federal School Code 001825. Indiana residents must submit a FAFSA by April 15 annually to gain eligibility for state-based financial aid.
