The mission of Boilermaker Opportunity Program Plus (BOP+) is to recruit, foster the academic success of and further develop the next generation of college graduates and leaders. BOP+ collaborates with Purdue’s academic colleges to support all students with a specific focus on Purdue’s land-grant mission. In line with the Indiana Commission on Higher Education’s 2030 HOPE Agenda — which targets student economic mobility through higher education — BOP+ focuses on many facets including first-generation college students, students from lower-income families and students who have attended under-resourced school systems whether in rural, urban or suburban communities. Serving as an umbrella, BOP+ supports multiple current and future initiatives that offer exploratory, academic and professional mentorship opportunities.
BOP+ houses two of Purdue’s student success initiatives — the Don and Liz Thompson MEP and the Dr. Cornell A. Bell Business Opportunity Program.
Whether you’re passionate about solving global challenges or driving innovation in the business world, BOP+ provides the tools, experiences, and networks to help you succeed.
