Best advice going into college
Embrace every moment and opportunity. In retrospect, four years seems like a long time, but it’ll go by much faster than you would’ve ever anticipated. You don’t want to be the person looking back on your college experience wishing you had done more, so do it all while you can. Get involved in clubs, find and join organizations you feel passionate about, go on late night pizza runs with your friends, take advantage of recreation facilities and go to sports games. Take it all in and really appreciate it. These are the memories that last a lifetime. The days that once seemed so lengthy and stressful become nothing but distant memories to look back on. It’s up to you to decide how many of those memories you’ll make and whether you’ll be able to look back on them fondly.
Favorite Purdue tradition
The superstitions of walking under the Purdue Bell Tower are my favorite tradition. It’s said that if you walk under the bell tower, you won’t graduate in four years. The superstition is taken so seriously that even the Starship robots on campus are programmed to go around the bell tower instead of under it. However, the story goes that if you kiss your significant other under the bell tower, you’ll get married.
