Tips for applying
Although not required, a letter of recommendation is strongly encouraged — especially if you want to be considered for scholarships or you’re applying to the John Martinson Honors College or one of our highly competitive majors. Make sure to be selective when choosing who you would like to ask to write your recommendation letter(s). The person should know you and your capabilities. They should also have an idea of why going to college is important to you and your goals for the future. Give your recommenders plenty of time to write a great, well-thought-out letter!
Favorite Purdue tradition
One my favorite traditions is Crossing the Tracks which takes place during Boiler Gold Rush. During Crossing the Tracks, new students jump over a replica of the old Purdue railroad tracks symbolizing the beginning of their Purdue journey.
