Best advice going into college
Take small steps to put yourself out there. Say hi if you know someone’s name, hold the door for those behind you and leave your residence hall door open every once in a while. Meeting new people is an unseen obstacle for so many first-year students, but most people are excited to talk! Go to an interest meeting and compliment another person’s keychain. You will find your people!
Favorite campus spot
Whenever I need a moment to myself, the John Myers Pedestrian Bridge on the east side of campus can’t be beat. Open air and the sound of the Wabash River flowing underneath always brings me peace!
