Best advice I received going into college
From my freshman advisor came a simple piece of advice: “Keep your head up.” I heard those words last century, but I’d argue they’re even more valuable today. Those words are more than encouragement during challenging times — they’re a reminder to stay open to opportunities, engage in college life, and build meaningful connections with professors, alumni and fellow students. That’s how you create a network that can support you long after graduation.
Favorite campus spot
My favorite spot on campus is the Bechtel Innovation Design Center. It’s a makerspace open to all Purdue students, where they collaborate, design and create. I challenge anyone to spend time in that space and leave uninspired.
