Best Advice I Received Going into College
My advice for going into college is this: Give yourself some grace! It’s okay to not have everything figured out right from the start. You’ll make mistakes and stumble, but that’s life! The other really important thing you can do in college (and in life) is to try that thing you always wanted. Even if it seems silly. If you don’t at least try, you’ll never truly know if it’s right for you. Nothing can happen until you swing the bat!
Why Purdue?
It’s hard to give students a reason why they should choose Purdue outside of saying, “It’s Purdue!” If I had to give a solid reason, though, I would say that you should take a look at the wide variety of things our alumni have done. We not only have alums who walked on the moon, but we also have politicians, CEOs, and professional athletes. They’ve won Pulitzers and Presidential Medals of Freedom and have even gone on to change the game for at-home popcorn (that’s right, folks, Orville Redenbacher was an alum).
