Dual Credit Admission Criteria
Purdue evaluates applications holistically, which means everything in your file is taken into consideration.
Below are minimum criteria for admission to a Purdue dual-credit course. Students who are admitted to and complete Purdue dual-credit courses are not guaranteed admission to Purdue West Lafayette should they apply to be degree-seeking students in the future.
Minimum Admission Criteria for Dual-Credit Courses
- Meet holistic admissions criteria for Purdue University
- Completion of one year of high school biology with a grade of C or higher
- Completion of one year of high school coursework in any combination of the following: chemistry, integrated chemistry-physics or physics with grades of C or higher
- No Ds in academic subjects in high school; no Fs in any high school subjects
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
Most students who enroll in a Purdue dual credit course are in their junior or senior year of high school. All enrollment criteria must be completed before enrolling in the course.
