Purdue University Dual Credit Program
Dual Credit Enrollment is an option for qualified high school students to take courses that satisfy requirements for earning both a high school diploma and a college degree. This option gives high school students the opportunity to receive credit for high school and college by taking courses that are taught in the high school, during the regular high school day, and taught by qualified high school teachers.
In November 2005, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education passed a policy regarding dual credit courses to reflect its commitment to increasing the probability of academic success in college. This Policy on Dual Credit Courses Taught in High School’s by High School Faculty is intended for all Indiana public post-secondary institutions, and became effective fall 2007.
Purdue University offers the dual credit program for superior high school students who have adequate preparation and the desire for more advanced work. The Purdue University dual credit program allows the high school student to begin college work while in high school.
Purdue University’s dual credit enrollment courses provide both high school and college credit, allowing students to fulfill a requirement for high school graduation and requirements for college admission while beginning a college transcript.

Cost for Dual Credit Courses
One of the benefits of taking dual credit courses in the high school is the tuition assistance program. Tuition fees for the Dual Credit Enrollment Program are $93.45 per credit hour with no additional fees, as compared to more than double the cost of tuition and fees for on-campus classes. Typically, the cost of books is included in the high school's book rental. Students taking dual credit courses in their high school who qualify for free/reduced lunch receive 100% tuition assistance.
You are not officially enrolled until fees are paid.
