| I’m involved in: Everything!!!. Treasurer for Prelaw Society, Boiler STeam campus tour guide, women’s varsity track and field team, Peer Mentors, D.R.I.V.E.N, Saving our Soul Campus Ministry, Boiler Gold Rush team leader, In my spare time, I: Talk on the phone with family and friends and SHOP until I drop!!! Dream job: First African American female U.S. Supreme Court Justice Favorite local restaurant: Red Lobster and Olive Garden Favorite pig-out food: Soul food – chicken, greens, candied yams, dressing, corn bread, peach cobbler, and banana pudding Most embarrassing moment: During my first home track meet at Purdue, the National Anthem was playing and I was listening to my iPod while walking around the track underneath the American flag. I had NO idea the Anthem was playing, and my teammates will not let me live that down. Most memorable Purdue experience: In November 2007, Vanita Banks was an Old Master. I received much advice and wisdom from her and her mother. She is a successful black Purdue alumnus who graduated from Valpo Law School and now works for the legal department of Allstate insurance in Illinois. She also is president-elect of the National Bar Association. When I feel like spoiling myself, I: Go out to eat by myself, to the movies, and then buy an outfit, a pair of shoes, or a new Coach or Dooney purse. Favorite book: Lunch at the 5 & 10 and Nickel & Dimed Favorite movie: Brown Sugar and any Tyler Perry/ Lion Gate Production Acquaintances would be surprised to know: I am going Greek!!! Favorite cartoon character: Tweety Bird because he/she always got picked on by Sylvester, but Tweety always found a way to bounce back and never give in. That is the type of person I am. Funniest Purdue experience: When I lost my voice during BGR as a team leader and I had to perform a FreeZone skit in front of 5,000+ people.
