The Italian program offers language (levels I-VI), literature, film, and culture courses. It offers an interdisciplinary major in Italian Studies in conjunction with courses from the departments of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Visual and Performing Arts, and History. The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures also offers a minor in Italian.
