Event Details

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of an expected winter storm, Purdue University is cancelling this Saturday’s Explore Purdue event. There is a high probability for ice and heavy snow in North Central Indiana and we do not want any of our guests to risk the hazardous travel conditions we anticipate throughout the day on Saturday.

Please stay home and stay safe. The Explore Purdue program attracts individual families as well as busloads of school and community groups. Given the likelihood of severe weather in Greater Lafayette, we made this decision in the best interests of the hundreds of guests who would be driving to Purdue Saturday morning. Thank you for your interest in Purdue. Although it’s not as good as the real thing, our virtual tour will give you a taste of what you’ll see when you visit campus in the future.

Come to Explore Purdue and let us show you what it means to be a Boilermaker. Check out this video for a taste of what your day will be like.

Explore Purdue is a full-day campus visit program just for minority students. It's open to all students in grades 8-11 who want to find out first hand what campus life is all about. Tour campus. Talk with students. Eat in a student dining court. Learn more about academic programs. You can do it all.

Recommended Attire

Dress casually and wear comfortable walking shoes. You will be outdoors for campus tours and many transitions between activities; be aware of the weather forecast.
