Arriving for Your Daily Visit

Daily Visits begin at the Office of Admissions, Room 109 Schleman Hall. Use this map to see the best pedestrian route to Schleman Hall from the recommended parking garages.

Parking and Driving Directions
We recommend you park either in the Grant Street Parking Garage or the Visitor Information Center Parking Garage. You should plan to pay at least $5 for parking at either garage and the Grant Street Garage is more likely to have ample space on weekdays during the school year. On weekends, parking is free in both garages.

  • Grant Street Garage, 120 N. Grant St., PGG on campus map. Weekday parking rates are hourly - $3 for first 60 minutes and $1 each hour for 2nd-8th hours; daily max $10. (The scheduled portion of a Daily Visit lasts up to three hours, although many families plan extra activities on their own.) Payment must be made before returning to your vehicle at a machine in the garage lobby (southwest corner of garage across from the Purdue Memorial Union Hotel entrance). The machine accepts only cash. (You do not need to pay or stop at the machine for weekend parking.) Driving directions to the Grant Street Garage.
  • Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage (Visitor Information Center), 504 Northwestern Ave., PGNW on the campus map. Enter this garage at the Visitor Information Center (VIC) entrance on Northwestern Avenue and park in one of the short-term spots immediately to your right to buy a parking pass inside VIC. The $5 pass will allow you to park in this garage and other parking facilities on campus on the day of your visit. After buying the pass, you must move your car to an “A" pass designated parking spot. (You do not need to pay or stop at the VIC office for weekend parking.) Driving directions to the Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage.

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate to Indiana's seasonal weather.

University Residences Virtual Tour

Most Daily Visits include a residence hall tour. (When registering, see Daily Visit session descriptions for details about housing portion of tour.) Also, a virtual tour of student residence halls and dining courts is available online.
