Engineering/Technology Teacher Education

Engineering/Technology Teacher Education students gain the knowledge to teach communications, design, construction, power/energy, and transportation technologies at the secondary level. The Association for Career and Technical Education named Purdue's engineering/technology teacher education program the best in the country at preparing future technology teachers.

Points of Pride:

  • Graduates are in high demand with nearly 100 percent job placement.
  • Students learn in state-of-the-art laboratories. Engineering/technology teacher education has a very involved professional student organization. Students can participate in study abroad programs, including a one-semester program at Griffith University in Australia.
  • Engineering/technology teacher education was selected the nation’s outstanding engineering/technology education program for 2004 and 2006.

Careers:

Engineering/technology teacher education teachers teach in public and private middle and high schools.
